Sherpani Cole Pass Trek

TRIP OVERVIEW

This adventure starts taking 45 minutes flight to Tumlingtar and exciting off road drive to Num from where we starts your adventure trek. The trail follows the lowlands near the Arun River over the Shipton La and into the remote and beautiful valley before arriving to Makalu Base Camp. From here we cross all the three high passes. This is a truly adventurous expedition passing through Sherpani Col (6150m), West Col (6143m) and Amphu Labtsa Pass (5800m), the three highest passes of the Himalayas with superb views of (Makalu 8,485m)  (Everest 8,848m) (Lhotse 8,516m)and other more peaks around. Sherpani Col Trek is a longest trek in Makalu region though it touches both Makalu and Everest region. It is undoubtedly one of the most strenuous treks in the Himalaya which require extensive preparation and physical fitness before you head for this trek.

  1. I did this trip with my father in 2011 with Gopal Tamang and I can honestly say that this was by far the most amazing thing I ever did and I still think about this trip almost every day. Gopal Tamang is the best guide you can wish for and I would recommend him to everyone who’s thinking of going on a trek in Nepal.
