TRIP OVERVIEW
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the famous tea house lodge trek. The journey starts taking flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which is 22 Minutes beautiful flight or 6 hours bus ride to Pokhara. Pokhara is well known as city of Lakes and it’s one of the beautiful city in Nepal. The Trek follows original route from Naya Pul where you will drive from Pokhara.The trek along the Modi Khola gorge leads you up to the vast of mountains. The diverse culture in this region makes this trek very interesting as you pass by the gorgeous Himalayas including Machhapuchhre ,Annapurna South, Himchuli, Annapurna 1, and Gangapurna. The Annapurna trek follows trails passing through pretty Village of Magar and Gurung , terraced fields, rhododendron and Bamboo forest. This is a leisurely trek gives you time to enjoy the views and the local culture of this area. From Ghorepani early morning you will hike up to famous view point (Poon Hill) for the panoramic sunrise view on Annapurna and Dhaulaigiri range.
OUTLINE ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara 22 minutes and Drive to Hille 2 ½ hrs overnight in Hille (1950m)
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2530m)
Day 05: Hike to Poon hill for wonderful sunrise view and back to Ghorepani and after the breakfast trek to Chuile (1800m)
Day 06: Trek to Sinuwa (2360m)
Day 07: Trek to Deurali (3230m)
Day 08: Trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m)
Day 09: Early morning to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) and trek down to Deurali (3230m)
Day 10: Trek to Sinuwa (2360m)

DETAIL ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Waiba Adventure Trek who will drop you to your hotel in Kathmandu. A full briefing will be given after you check in. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will be going for whole day city sightseeing with the Nepali tour guide to most historical attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed on UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the biggest Stupa in the world. The tour is likely to finish around 4pm and the rest of the day is free to explore around Thamel around your hotel as well as to pack your baggage for the trek starting tomorrow morning. You can leave a bag at the hotel with items not needed on the trek. Overnight at Fuji Guest House or similar in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and Drive to Hille overnight in Hille (1950m)
After breakfast, we take the morning flight to Pokhara the flight time Kathmandu to Pokhara is 22 minutes with scenic mountain views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, lamjung Himal and Annapurna Massif. On arrival you will drive for about 2 ½ hrs from Pokhara to Hille the trek starting point. When we arrive to Hille we put our things in the room and will have nice cup of tea then hike up to (Sabet Village) a beautiful typical Gurung village it’s about 2 hrs up and down. Overnight in Hille.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2530m) 5 hrs
After breakfast, we start gradual level walk to Tikhedhunga cross the suspension bridge on Bhurungdi Khola then climb thousands of stone staircase throughout terraced fields to Ulleri. The trail to Banthanti is less steep and then continues on to Ghorapani through dense forest of giant Rhododendron. From Ghorepani we have superb Mountain View of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Overnight in Ghorepani.
Day 05: Early morning to Poon Hill and trek to Chuile(1800m)- 7 hrs
Today we make an early morning climb along the steep trail throughout the Rhododendrons forest to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m) It is 1 hour up and 35 minutes down from Ghorepani, when we arrive to Poon Hill first we will have a nice cup of tea then we will enjoy the amazing sunrise view over the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre Himal. After taking good photographs we will descend to Ghorepani and will have a breakfast and quick pack before proceeding to Chuile. From Ghorepani we climb up along the ridge enjoying the wonderful view throughout the giant Rhododendron’s tree. We descend through dense forest of Deodar, bamboos and always Rhododendron; and pass by nice waterfalls along the way to reach Tadapani and to Chuile. Overnight in Chuile.
Day 06: Trek to Sinuwa(2360m) -5 hrs
From Chuile trail drops down to the Kimrong Khola, and then climbs to Gurjung village and on to Chhomrong. Chhomrong, is the last permanent settlement is the valley onwards from here only guest house built for trekkers. From Chhomrong trail descend steeply through 2500 stone steps and cross the suspension bridge above Chhomrong Khola. From here it is an uphill climb to Sinuwa, Today we mostly pass by terraced fields and traditional houses in the villages. Overnight in Sinuwa.
Day 07: Trek to Deurali (3230m) – 7hrs
From Sinuwa, the trail climb to Bamboo, Doban, Himalaya and the trail ascends to Hinku Cave. Ascending another twenty minutes then we arrive to Deurali. We will hike through beautiful dense forest of bamboos, Rhododendron and Alder trees. Today we walk through several avalanche risk area we highly recommend you not to stop or taking picture at the risk area that our guide will warn you. Overnight at Deurali.
Day 08: Trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m)
Today, we climb along the Modi Khola river over a steep trail to Machhapuchre Base Camp. This area is also called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by beautiful mountains. From Deurali it is a three hours trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp, which offers spectacular views of the majestic mt. Machhapuchhre and the nature’s surroundings of the region. Overnight in Machhapuchhre Base Camp.
Day 09: Early morning to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) and trek down to Deurali (3230m)
We leave early morning for sunrise view from Annapurna Base Camp it is two hours ascend from Machhapuchhre Base Camp. This point will be your high point of the trek ( 4130m) when you are here you will get amazing view of sun rise from the mighty Annapurna Himal. After the breakfast we will start to descend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and continue to Deurali. Overnight in Deurali
Day 10: Trek to Sinuwa (2360m)
Today we will follow the same trail down towards Sinuwa, through the dense forest of bamboo and Rhododendron reaching to Sinuwa. So it wouldn’t be very difficult dropping down so you will enjoy the surrounding scenery you have missed on the way up. Overnight in Sinuwa.
Day 11: Trek to Landruk (1565m)
We descend to Chhomrong Khola and cross the suspension bridge and starts ascending to Chhomrong village by steeping on stone staircase which is more than two thousands steps. Then from Chhomrong trail descend steep down to Jhinu and at Jhinu we will cross the long suspension bridge to new Bridge and trek to Landruk. Overnight in Landruk.
Day 12: Trek to Australian Camp (1950m)
After breakfast, we move our steps to Australian Camp via, Tolka, Pitam Deurali, Pothana and to Australian camp. Today we trek through beautiful forest of Alder tree, Rhododendron and Oak. After Tolka there is big climb to Pitam Deurali then nice gradual walk to Australian Camp, from where you will enjoy your last breathtaking view on Annapurna range. Overnight in Australian Camp
Day 13: Trek to Kande and drive to Pokhara an hour
Early morning we will enjoy last sunrise panoramic view and after breakfast, we will descend about an hour to Kande where our transport will be waiting to take us to Pokhara city. Overnight in Pokhara city.
Day 14: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 7-8 hours. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 15: Final Departure
Our amazing journey in Nepal come to end today! A Waiba Adventure Trek representative will drop you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your flight time. Have a safe journey back to home, Namaste & see you again.
