TRIP OVERVIEW

KATHMANDU, As a traveler, you may want to see the history and the beauty mixed together. If that’s your choice then Kathmandu Valley Tour is something you wouldn’t want to miss. With its unique geography and incredible history, Kathmandu Valley Tour is a trip into one of the oldest cities infused with ancient culture and historical monuments. You will be visiting the UNESCO world heritage sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. You will also be visiting the famous monkey temple “Swayambhunath’’ and the Buddhist stupa “Boudhanath’’. Kathmandu valley is also known as the “city of temples”’, Kathmandu is filled with many historical temples. One can enjoy the tourist hubs of Kathmandu, local eateries, temple, Monasteries, historical places, local festivals and experience the real beauty of Kathmandu in just a short stay of 5 days.

BANDIPURE, Bandipure is, midway on the way drive between Kathmandu and Pokhara lies on the hilltop settlement of Bandipur, a Newar town with its age-old flavor still intact. Climb through pristine forests on the historical trail at Dumre Bazaar to a town that has hardly changed. Well preserved Bandipur today invites travelers to experience its unique offerings: rich hill culture, mountain views, and hiking.  Unlike most trading posts in the Nepal hills, Bandipur has retained its age-old cultural attributes – temples, shrines, sacred caves, innumerable festivals, and a Newari architecture that harks back to the Kathmandu Valley of old.

POKHARA, Pokhara is the second most visited city in Nepal, as well as one of the most popular tourist destinations. It is famous for its tranquil atmosphere and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Pokhara lies on the shores of the Phewa Lake. From Pokhara you can see three out of the ten highest mountains in the world (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasalu). The Machhapuchre (“Fishtail”) has become the icon of the city, thanks to its pointed peak. Pokhara offers many sightseeing opportunities. Lakeside is the area of the town located on the shores of Phewa Lake, and it is full of shops and restaurants. On the south-end of town, visitors can catch a boat to the historic Barahi temple, which is located on an island in the Phewa Lake. On a hill overlooking the southern end of Phewa Lake, you will find the World Peace Stupa. From here, you can see a spectacular view of the lake, of Pokhara and Annapurna Himalayas. Sarangkot is a hill on the southern side of the lake which offers a wonderful panoramic view, with green valley’s framed by the snow-capped Annapurnas. The Seti Gandaki River has created spectacular gorges in and around the city. At places it is only a few meters wide and runs so far below that it is not visible from the top.

ITINERARY:

Day  01:  Arrive Kathmandu transfer to hotel.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Waiba Adventure Trek who will drop you to your hotel in Kathmandu. A full briefing will be given after you check in. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day  02:  After breakfast, you will be going for whole day city sightseeing with the Nepali tour guide to most historical attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed on UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the biggest Stupa in the world. The tour is likely to finish around 4pm and the rest of the day is free to explore around Thamel around your hotel. Overnight at Fuji Guest House or similar in Kathmandu.

Day  03:  Drive from Kathmandu to Bandipure around 5 hrs drive

Upon arrival in Bandipure you will check in the hotel and freshen up then we will have sightseeing around the hilltop historical settlement. Overnight in Bandipure

Day  04:  Drive from Bandipure to Pokhara around 3 hrs

Arrive to Pokhara check in the hotel and freshen up then we will visit World Peace Stupa which situated southern end of Phewa Lake from here, you can see a spectacular view of the lake, of Pokhara and Annapurna Himalayas range. Overnight in Pokhara

Day  05:  Early morning drive to Sarankot 10.6 km 26 minutes drive (which is famous hilltop for sunrise view)  From here we can enjoy breathtaking view of Annapurna 1, ( 8,091m) Machhapuchhre, (6,993m)  Dhaulagiri, 8,167m and Lamjung himal, (6988m) Back to Pokhara we enjoy your  breakfast after we go for whole day sightseeing to, Devi’s Fall, International Mountain Museum, Mhendra Cave and Barahi temple. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day  06:  After breakfast we take a from Pokhara to Kathmandu (flight time is 22 minutes) transfer to hotel today you are on leisure time, shopping the souvenir to take home.

Day  07:  Final Departure

Our journey in Nepal comes to an end today! A Waiba Adventure Trek representative will drop to the airport approximately 3 hours before your flight time. Have a safe journey back home, Namaste & see you again.
