Trekking Grade

Nepal is Natural beautiful and cultural rich country. We have many category of trekking destination which are describing in below.

Grade 1: Easy

Easy trekking by Himalayan standard is generally up to 3000m. There will be plenty ups and downs on well maintained trails. This type of trip is best suited for those who lead a reasonably active life. The trek takes about 3 to 7 hours walking.

Grade 2: Moderate

This involves longer Treks 5 to 8 hours walk with some rest on maintained trails. This type of trek includes day excursions to higher elevations, we advise you to have some previous hill- walking experience. On these treks, we generally achieve an altitude between 800m to 3500m. There will be daily ascent and descent. Usually there is reasonable level of infrastructure such as lodge Guesthouse.

Grade 3: Moderate to strenuous

These treks must be fully supported. We climb to altitudes between 3500m and 5000m. And there are overnight stays at altitudes above 4000m. For this trek, trekkers should be fit and good hill walkers prepared to tackle with difficult terrain in remote areas. some of the trail can be rough and rocky section with amount of ascent and descent.

Grade 4: Strenuous

A good choice for regular long distance hill walkers, very high level of fitness required. These trips may involve mountaineering and glacial travel.
These treks must be fully supported. We climb to altitudes from 14,00m to 5500m. And there are overnight stays at altitudes above 4200m. For this trek, trekkers should be fit and good hill walkers prepared to tackle with difficult terrain in remote areas.

Grade 5: very strenuous

A very high level of fitness is required for this treks and expeditions. Previous trekking experience at high altitude is requires. You will experience a wide variety of mountain terrain from reasonable trails to crossing technical mountaineering passes, glacial travel and climbing to summits sometimes including use of fixed ropes. Travelling over snow- covered passes at an altitude from 5,000 up to 6,400m. You will need ice axe, rope, crampons.
